Crochet Mario Granny Square Blanket

Crochet Mario Granny Square Blanket

My son and I were scrolling through Pinterest one evening looking at crochet patterns. He loves Mario so I knew he would freak out when he saw the picture, sure enough he saw the picture and excitedly asked me" Can you make that for me?!" Of course I said yes. :)

This blanket is 252 squares,  you can choose any granny square pattern you like to get the pixel look.  My plan is to have it finished by Christmas for him.

Here's the link to the pattern

So far I have 7 black granny squares four rows long. I will update as I go.

Have fun making this awesome blanket!

Crochet Fall Chevron/Ripple Lapgan

Crochet Fall Chevron/Ripple Lapgan

My husband loves Fall, Everything about it. So When my mother in law asked me to make a family friend a blanket I made a chevron pattern with fall colors. When he saw it he asked if I could make him one as well....one year later I finally started it for him. Here's what it looks like so far...

What you need:

Crochet Hook

J/10-6.00MM

Yarn

Caron One Pound 16.oz Sunflower(1)
Caron One Pound 16.oz Claret(1)
Red Heart Super Saver 7.oz Carrot(2)
Red Heart with Love 7.oz Chocolate (1)

Instructions

I followed this pattern from Lots of Crochet Stitches

I chained 172

I will do  *5 rows of Claret, 1 row of Chocolate, 4 rows of Sunflower,1 row of Chocolate, 3 carrot and repeat*

I also think I did 2 stitches instead of 3 stitches for the skipped ones so they are not as sharp as I wold have liked.

I am going to make it 42 inches long.

Thanks for stopping by!
